It’s difficult to pinpoint a definitive beginning to the story of how Catalyst Energies came to be, mostly because I feel like the template has always existed. All the events of this life and previous ones have contributed it unfolding into its current form, which is nothing more than a platform for me to share my journey and offer the services that have grown from those experiences.

I left small-town life in 2003 with a BA in Sociology, years of social justice activism under my belt and a sense that I was going to change the world. I had not been an activist as a kid, but had a fierce sense of justice [Mars in Sagittarius in the 11th house] and a working class background, meaning I was working my own jobs by age 15. Transitioning to a life outside of college with a full-time job wasn’t intimidating, but entry level social work was enough to suppress the fire of a young activist leader. I worked with at-risk youth, and received a front row seat for the ineptness of our society when it comes to protecting and valuing children. A major node in the web of my life.

I enrolled in a massage therapy program in 2004, already realizing that working with youth in the system had diminishing returns, both for me AND those children.  I knew I would one day revisit this line of service, but I felt the pull toward the healing arts. I received my first Reiki attunement in 2005, and that was a major activation of something deep and ancient. As with many people first attuned to Reiki, major adjustments transpired in my outside, physical life in order to align with the vibrational inner change as a result of the attunement.  There were a few years of chaos and heartbreak as a result of the recalibration.

It wasn’t until 2011 that I was actually licensed and began practicing full-time as a massage therapist.  In the interim, I received a degree in Psychology, conducted an undergraduate thesis and presented it at an APA conference.  I continued my educational journey, nourishing my passion for discovery, investigation and research.  Between 2011 and 2016, I worked full time as a massage therapist in a number of different environments, which included  small, private-practice clinics, a busy spa and a natural hot springs healing retreat center.  Although I was providing therapeutic bodywork in all of these settings, what I was really doing was working with people’s energy and receiving intuitive information to help them.

I was on the verge of accepting a full-time position at the retreat center [which included living on site] when I was offered an opportunity to merge my passions of discovery and exploration with the healing arts.  I took that offer and moved into horticulture for a while, growing medicinal plants and focusing on expanding my education with a number of science classes.

Even though living at the retreat center had been almost like a dream since the first time I had visited in 2005, I knew that I would probably plateau there.  I moved into a new and challenging experience with no guarantees and nothing but Sagittarian optimism. Even though what had transpired turned out to have been difficult, maddening, heartbreaking and devastating at times, it is clear now that it was absolutely the correct course.  Those events were my own catalyst of, and it couldn’t have been any more beautiful and perfect.

After the Great American Eclipse in 2017, everything I thought was going to happen failed miserably. I was demoralized and lost.  My spouse and I were out of work with no plan because we had been 100 percent invested in this trajectory that just caved in on us.  We started a side business with pet sitting, and I started reading astrology every single day and studying it deeply.  I didn’t even know why.  I met teachers at that time who not only got me up to speed with operating in the astral more readily, they also taught me inadvertently the dangers and pitfalls of working in the astral.  Discernment and trusting in my  abilities were the primary lessons from that experience.

Since, then it’s been a steady climb toward self proprietorship and, simply, how best to be of service. I am a licensed massage therapist, now a Reiki Master and holder of two B.A. degrees in Sociology and Psychology.  I am a certified Yoga instructor, a practicing astrologer and an intuitive reader.

I chose the phrase “TO FACILITATE THE ACTIVATION OF OUR HIGHEST POTENTIAL” because my role is to engage others not as a teacher or practitioner, but as a catalyst that triggers a chain reaction within the individual that leads  them to align with TRUTH.  We are at a point now where we all must bear the full responsibility of our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness in order for us to reach the critical mass necessary for this evolutionary leap.  I can give you information, teach you how to do something, even assist you in healing your body and soul.  Yet, when it comes down to it, the real work comes from the individual’s commitment toward this process.

Intuitive readings, shamanic energy work and Reiki, bodywork modalities and astrological consultations are all part of my tool kit.   We work together with these tools to calibrate the energetics of the body while also attending to the deeper, symbolic meanings of the events and circumstances that make up your life through intuitive and astrological readings.

If there was ever a time for people to take an interest in our highest potential and how we can activate it within us, I would say now’s the time.
